Warranty Policy

We endeavour to offer the lowest possible prices on all types of bikes, coupled with a comprehensive guarantee on all bikes and components.

All our products are guaranteed for 12 months, and all frames purchased have a lifetime guarantee with us, meaning there is no need to deal directly with the manufacturer.

Please note that this warranty only applies to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred to another person. You may have other legal rights which are not affected by this warranty.

Please take a moment to register your bike frame number with us to validate your Cycle King & Hawk Cycles warranty.

To validate your warranty, you must register your bike within 60 days of purchase.

All our products are guaranteed for 12 months, but all of our bicycle frames have a lifetime guarantee. If any part on the bike develops a fault due to a manufacturing defect (defined as a defect in materials or workmanship as delivered with the product), we will provide a replacement part free of charge.

Should your bike’s frame need replacing under warranty, it may not always be possible to replace it with a frame of the exact colour and year. In such cases, your frame will be replaced with the nearest colour match available and with a frame of the same year or later.

If the original frame is no longer manufactured and cannot be replaced with a frame of the same design, you will be offered a functionally similar, more modern, or equivalent frame.

For frame replacements under the limited warranty, please contact the Cycle King store from which the bicycle was purchased, or for online sales contact our Head Office. Please ensure you have your original receipt available.

Please note that the fork is not part of the frame and that frames must be returned for inspection at the customer’s expense.

Every bicycle or component purchased from Cycle King has a useful life cycle. This is not the same as the warranty period and depends on:

• The type of bike and its intended purpose
• The care and maintenance it receives
• The riding and environmental conditions

Use of the bike for competitions, jumping, downhill riding or training for these activities, riding in severe climates or conditions, or operating with heavy loads can significantly shorten the useful life cycle of the product.

Any of the conditions above may result in eventual and unpredictable failure that is not covered by this warranty.

Regular servicing is important to the health of your bike. Depending on usage, the bike and frame set should be checked for potential problems, abuse, or inappropriate use at least once a year. These are necessary safety checks that may help prevent accidents and prolong the product’s life cycle.

The above warranty, or any implied warranty, does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear on parts such as tyres, tubes, chains, brakes, seats, grips, cables, chainrings and cassettes where there are no assembly or material defects.
• Modifications from the original condition.
• Use of the bicycle for abnormal, competitive and/or commercial activities, or for purposes other than those for which the bicycle was designed. This includes use as a courier or delivery rider.
• Paint finish and decal damage resulting from taking part in competitions, jumping, downhill riding and/or training for such activities, or from exposing the bike to severe conditions or climates.
• Damage caused by failing to follow instructions contained in the owner’s manual.
